We score how open brands are, so we'd better be open about our own money. Here's exactly how we get paid, and how each kind of link on this site is marked.

How do we make money?

Peptara Labs pays us a commission when you order through one of our links to it. It's also the only brand on our scorecard with anything filled in. To be straight with you: the commission is why we opened its paperwork while the other rows stayed blank.

So don't just trust us. Keep the seven checks, which we print in full before any score. We ran them on the paying brand first, and you can run them on anyone.

One example of an affiliate link is the brand's home page, peptaralabs.io. Every commercial link on this site goes to that one brand and no other.

How can you tell which links are paid?

Each kind of link carries a stated rel value, so you and search engines can both see which ones are affiliate links.

Links to the brand that pays us

Every link to peptaralabs.io carries rel="nofollow sponsored noopener". Sponsored says it's an affiliate link. Nofollow means it passes no ranking credit. Noopener is a small browser safety setting for new tabs.

Brand names and search-result domains we list

None of these are links. We print them as plain text, in the order we saw them, because we haven't checked any of those brands.

The report verification address

We mention it as a route the paying brand publishes, but never link it, because we didn't visit it on 2026-09-01.

Where are the checks?

The scores are on the scorecard. The seven checks, which you can run without us, are in the part worth keeping.

What can't the money buy?

No payment fills a cell, raises a count, or moves a row. The count is just the filled cells in one row, and you can recount it yourself.

Brands are listed A to Z, so a position isn't a rank. That puts the paying brand eighth.
